The designer who created Torrie’s hot-pink wrestling attire on Bravo’s “Project Runway” failed to win the show’s fourth season, it was revealed in the season finale last night. Rami Kashou was one of the final three along with Jillian Lewis (Michelle McCool’s designer) and the very fierce - and eventual winner - Christian Siriano (Kristal Marshall’s designer).
In early February, Torrie and five fellow WWE Divas appeared on the hit reality show, when the designers were called to create a wrestling outfit for each of the Divas. Chris won the challenge for his leopard print design for current Playboy covergirl, Maria.
Though Rami didn’t win, don’t feel too sorry for him just yet: Rami Kashou may have a new celebrity client in Heidi Klum, who expressed an interest in wearing some of his creations. “She already pulled some of my clothes for fittings,” he says. “So that’s great. Anybody would want to dress Heidi!”
PS: Your requests have been heard, Josh and I are working on relaunching our “Daily Download” in the next few days!
What’s up everybody! It feels like forever since I last updated, it’s been a slow news day month, huh? Anyway, Torrie is today’s Daily Diva at WWE.com! Check out all the photos from the photoshoot by clicking here.
Hopefully there’ll be something new to report soon on the Torrie front! As we reported a few weeks ago, Torrie’s listed for the March 8th house show so we’ll see if anything comes of that, it could just be a tentative schedule as these things are always subject to change. In the meantime, is there anything you guys want to see on the site since things are quiet? Let us know and we’ll see what we can do to liven things up!
In this week’s Diva Dish on WWE.com, the Divas talk about their cars. Check out what Torrie had to say:
Like Layla, Torrie Wilson has a Range Rover parked in her garage, too.
“I have a Range Rover and I love, love, love it. It’s dark gray and it has this really cool, special edition interior. It’s all black suede, even on the ceiling, and it’s striped with brown,” the SmackDown beauty said. “It’s totally the car you can have a party in. Like, I can just park and have a party with my friends in there!”
Does Michelle McCool visit iTorrie? You may remember, in our Q&A with Torrie, our Diva chose Michelle as one of the Superstars or Divas she would most want to be stranded on a desert island with:
If you were stuck on a desert island, which 5 Superstars and/or Divas would you want to be stranded with and why?
1. Michelle McCool- She is just a really good friend and would keep me calm
2. Victoria-She is a one woman show and then I would be OK without a t.v.
3. Carlito- He’s just stupid and I could laugh at him all day long.
4. Undertaker- He could go kill all of the animals and cook them for us.
5. Candice Michelle-I just love her, so she needs to be there too.
Well in her latest “Lovin’ Life column at WWE.com, Michelle returned the favour by picking Torrie as one of her picks too!
A lot of you asked me who my favorite Divas/Superstars (past or present) are, who I would choose to be stuck on a deserted island with, if there is anyone I never liked, etc. So, I thought it’d be fun to figure out who I really would want on a deserted island with me. Let’s see…
Torrie Wilson – Simply put, she is one of my dearest and best friends. She is one of the most genuine, honest, funny, kind, caring people I have ever met – truly beautiful on the inside and out! Queen Sharmell – Though she plays a bad girl on TV, she is also one of my best friends. She is so intelligent, witty, and trustworthy. The list goes on. Victoria – Yes, I know. She is crazy! But crazy could come in handy on a deserted island. Plus, let me tell you, that girl is a one-woman show. Tommy Dreamer – Two words: Pure entertainment. Finlay – What can I say? He loves to fight! Not only does he love to fight, but he’s pretty darn good at it as well.
WWE.com is holding an “All Divas Day” today, whatever that means. So far, so boring. But they do have a poll up on the main page asking you to vote for your favourite Diva out of Ashley, Layla and Torrie. So go and vote, because Torrie is believe it or not, polling last and we just can’t have that! You can vote by clicking here.
Check out the March 2008 issue of Ask Torrie & Randy from WWE Magazine! This month, Torrie and Randy answer questions on “girly” smelling deodorant, braces and dandruff! A big thank you to Carol at Randy-Orton.com for the scan!
Okay, Valentine’s Day is out of the way and it’s time for some fresh updates! From Diva to entrepreneur, Torrie held her first ever fashion show for Jaded on January 31st at Houston’s Bond Lounge. A big thank you to Ashley for sending these pictures from the event, which are now up in the photo gallery; they are a mixture of pictures of Torrie and of the models sporting some of the Jaded line!
Check ‘em out and tell us what you think! Torrie looks gorgeous, I love her dress and is it just me, or does she outshine the models?!
Is Torrie your dream valentine? Well she sure is over at WWE.com, as Torrie takes the Daily Diva spot on this romantic-est of days! If your appetite is whet and you want a little more to get you into the V-Day mood, check out the full photoshoot by clicking here. Oh and by the way…
In a column at News-JournalOnline.com, RAW commentator Jim Ross answered some questions and in honour of Valentine’s Day, all the questions are Diva-centric! Read what he had to say about Torrie below…
Question: Cross-promotion is strong with the Divas, with Playboy and recently “Project Runway” on Bravo to name a few. How come WWE hasn’t been promoting Torrie Wilson’s clothing line (or has it)?
Answer: “I only became aware of Torrie’s clothing line recently myself, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see WWE Magazine and/or WWE.com do something in support of one of our favorite Divas. I think Torrie’s venture is a new one. Torrie has been having back problems, and I look forward to her return. I wanted to put Torrie’s autographed copy of her Playboy cover in J.R.’s Family BBQ in Norman, but it was suggested that wasn’t a great idea.”
With the release of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller 25″ this week, celebrating 25 years since the iconic pop album was initially released, WWE.com has a new article up with the Superstars talking about their memories of the album. Check out what Torrie had to say:
“I remember my neighbor choreographing a dance routine for the kids in the neighborhood to ‘Beat It,’” recounted SmackDown Diva Torrie Wilson. “We did it for our parents, and I’ll always remember that fondly. I think it was the first dance routine I ever learned.”
