No sign of Torrie in this week’s SmackDown! spoilers, which is a big shame considering the momentum she gained last week on the show with her victory over Victoria and the big team win at Survivor Series. We sure hope that this isn’t another long, dry spell but we’ll all just have to keep our fingers crossed for next week!
After feuding with Victoria since July, tonight in the main event on Smackdown Torrie was finally able to pin Victoria for the three count by countering the Widow’s Peak into a neckbreaker.
In a Survivor Series teaser, Torrie teamed with Mickie James to take on Victoria and Beth Phoenix for a Diva Tag Team Match. Beth pinned Torrie after countering Torrie’s swinging neckbreaker into a sidewalk slam then slamming Torrie into the mat with a Double Chicken Wing Clamp.
This week’s SmackDown! spoilers are below, highlight the text to read. Oh and it promises to be a good one for all of you who want to see Torrie in action!
In another interpromotional tag team match, Beth Phoenix and Victoria defeated the team of Torrie and Mickie James. Beth pinned Torrie after hitting her with a chicken-wing drop.
After a 5 week absence, Torrie made her return to Smackdown this week in a backstage segment with Michelle McCool. Torrie questioned Michelle on the nature of her relationship with Chuck Palumbo.
Wow, did this go over our heads or what?! iTorrie visitor Sandy e-mailed into let us know that Torrie will be on SmackDown! this week! Spoilers below and be sure to check back bright and early tomorrow for your first look of SmackDown! with Josh!
Michelle and Torrie were backstage, Michelle asks Torrie if she thinks that she and Chuck Palumbo are a boring couple. Victoria & Kenny Dysktra enter to antagonise Michelle, which leads to a match between the pair later on.
Well, it looks like WWE has dropped the ball big time, following last week’s big debut. I’m not sure if this counts as spoilers, since we already told you Torrie wouldn’t be on SmackDown! for a couple of weeks, but raise your hands if you thought Krissy Vaine might make an appearance? Yeah, us too.
Reading the spoilers, it doesn’t seem that way. No mention of Krissy at all, it’s almost like the angle which took place last week has been completely ignored. However, the optimist in me is hoping, perhaps they shot something post-production that the live audience didn’t see. Maybe a backstage segment, video package of some sort! Anyway, curse away…
This week on Friday Night SmackDown!, it was once again Torrie taking on Victoria. First of all, both girls looked gorgeous as they both sported sequin numbers this week. Usually, we’d get tired of seeing the same two Superstars or Divas battle so often, but there’s always a special chemistry between these two Divas and I always find their matches thoroughly enjoyable. This match was no different, both Divas got in some good offense; we saw a variation of moves from Torrie and the action even moved to the outside, which is a big bonus for any Diva match. Torrie managed to hit her patented facebuster, however didn’t get the win. The end of the match kind of spoiled what could’ve been a great match, having Victoria go over by cheating and holding the ropes. What annoyed me even more about the match, was the commentary. Michael Cole really praised Torrie however, JBL gave us yet another reason to hate him. Cole noted how much Torrie had improved in the ring over the years and JBL’s response? “Does it matter.”
After the match, Torrie protested her loss but when she turned around, she came face to face with developmental Diva, Krissy Vaine. Though she remained unnamed, Krissy kicked Torrie in the stomach before tackling her to the corner and repeatedly stomping her. She then hit her with a backbreaker over her knee, before taking her back to the corner and from the outside contorting Torrie’s body around the ring post. And to add further insult to injury, she then threw Torrie into the barricade on the outside. Though, I really think the bigger story here is Krissy’s obvious lack of style, looking as though she got dressed in the dark.
Possible Injury Storyline?
It seems to me that Krissy’s debut and attack on Torrie will be setting up a potential injury storyline for Torrie. As we posted just earlier today, Torrie will be heading to China tomorrow where she’ll spend 8 days followed by a few days in Australia. Given that she will be unable to take part in SmackDown! tapings for the better part of two weeks, we can put two and two together.
This week’s SmackDown! spoilers are below and from the looks of it, it’s going to be unmissable!
Victoria defeated Torrie in the opening contest of SmackDown! this week. However, after the match, Krissy Vaine made her debut attacking Torrie! Michelle McCool made the save.
