The Covergirl is back! Torrie is on the cover of the July 2009 issue of ‘Muscle & Body’ magazine along with former WWE Champion, John Bradshaw Layfield. Torrie has done some promotional work for JBL’s Energy Plus hence the joint cover. Unfortunately, no more pictures of Torrie inside the magazine, the cover feature is all about JBL.
Big thank you to Rob for sending us the scan =) Click below for full view!
Torrie, Lou Diamond Phillips and John Salley took part in a conference call with Television Without Pity to talk about their experiences on I’m a Celebrity. Read below:
As you know, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here is finally over, and though we didn’t like it very much, it was nice that Lou Diamond Phillips won, and that everyone can go back to living in houses and not having to submit to getting tarantulas poured on their heads just to get a burrito for dinner. It’s also nice that it’s not on anymore, because it was very boring. Anyway, you know the drill here — conference call, Lou Diamond Phillips, Torrie Wilson, John Salley, yada, yada, yada…
What was one of the scariest jungle tasks for you?
John Salley: Walking to the bathroom.
Torrie Wilson: For me it was the height — the high wire. I knew I was a little afraid of heights, but once I got up there I started breathing heavy and crying and I didn’t know if I could do it. And thankfully my buddy, John Salley, really calmed me down and, you know, told me to focus. If it wasn’t for him, I would have tried it but, you know, who knows what would have happened.

These pictures are a little old, they were taken in April before I’m a Celebrity, but they looked really cute so I wanted to share them anyway!
In April, Torrie and the cast attended NBC’s ‘Summer Press Day’. As you can see, Torrie was pictured with Patti’s husband, Rod Blagjoveich.
Check out Torrie’s exit interview for I’m a Celebrity below, courtesy of NBC.com. Unfortunately it’s only viewable to those in the US:
Torrie says Lou won but she’s very happy for him & making it to the last day was enough for her. Torrie is wearing the crown for the ‘Queen of the Jungle’, she says it was given to her because she came in second and she guesses that she’s still Lou’s queen! Torrie says she didn’t realise that she was going to become so close to all of her fellow celebrities and make such strong friendships. She continues that the producers told her beforehand it would change her life and it has, she thinks about how much she takes for granted; she’ll spend more time with her friends & family and not on things that are useless. Torrie’s priorities have changed. Torrie ends that she’s excited to get home to her family & friends and show everybody her cooking skills!
E! Online caught up with Torrie as well as I’m a Celebrity co-stars, Lou Diamond Phillips and John Salley to find out their next move after the jungle. Read what Torrie plans to do next!
Torrie, a retired professional wrestler, said the jungle inspired her as well: “While I was in the jungle trying to figure many different ways to get my workout in, I decided I’m going to do a workout video. That is on the immediate horizon.”
So our crazy journey supporting, watching and voting for Torrie for the past month is over! It’s been a surreal experience, in the past few weeks we’ve been joined by fans old and new, showing their support for Torrie on I’m a Celebrity. On behalf of this site, a big thank you to everyone who has supported Torrie on the show - fans old and new.
Torrie has always has always had a very dedicated fanbase but through this experience, she has won over so many new fans and you guys have shown the same level of support as the fans who have been with us from the beginning. Your commenting, voting, tweeting - it was all worth it. Torrie lasted the entire course of the show and though she didn’t win, I am so proud of Torrie for getting to the final night and by coming so far. And I am extremely proud of the way Torrie fans across the Internet [and beyond] have supported Torrie and kept her in the competition for so long.
Torrie can leave Costa Rica with her head held high because she did an amazing job that all of her fans, friends, family and the wrestling community can be proud of. I think former wrestler Les Thatcher said it best in his PWInsider column: “I wanted to add that the pro wrestling industry owes a big thank you to Torrie Wilson who placed second over all last night to Lou Diamond Phillips on NBC’s “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!” after 25 days in the Costa Rican jungle. She came across as classy, professional, warm, articulate, strong, and a competitor.”
And one organisation that must be incredibly proud of Torrie is the charity she was playing for, the Disabled American Veterans. Over the past three weeks, I’ve received e-mails and messages from veterans out there who wanted to thank Torrie and show their support. Your stories were really heart-warming and really did bring a tear to my eye, another reason I am so proud of Torrie for earning money for an amazing charity. You guys have been thanking Torrie and I think she would want to thank YOU for everything you’ve done. I will pass on your messages to Torrie so she can see just how much of a difference her time on the show has made to her chosen charity!
All that’s left is to say for now is that it’s been a fun, incredible 3 weeks! I’m on UK time but it’s been a pleasure for me to stay up till past 2-3am watching the show & writing up-to-date recaps for the site.
I’m really proud to be a Torrie fan; not only because of her incredible time in the jungle but also because of all my fellow fans. We’re proud of Torrie and I am sure she is just as equally proud of each and every one of you for voting and taking her through the entire competition!
The show may be over, but I’m sure we’ll be hearing and seeing a lot more from Torrie with her new found fame!
Thanks again, everyone!
Melanie

Episode Recap:
The show kicks off with a recap of the show so far. We cut to last night when they announced the finalists. On Sanjaya’s elimination, Torrie says she was incredibly surprised & thought he’d make the top 3. Torrie says it was a ’shocker’ and she’s ‘flabbergasted’. Lou and John joke, “Let’s kick this girl’s ass.”
Torrie is so excited to be in the final and starts singing, “I’m in the final!” Lou says the final 3 are the strongest.
The remaining three head to the “Jungle Spa” for their final food trial. They each will be individually competing to eat their favorite food for their final meal. They will be going through two stations, looking to collect two stars from each. The more stars they get, the more they eat. Torrie goes first, laying down for a “shower”. They proceed to shower her with cockroaches of various size, and Torrie reaches above her head, feeling for the stars amongst the bugs. She retrieves both stars. Lou and John successfully complete their trials as well.
Torrie’s next station is the “hot tub”, where she climbs into a large tub of water populated with crocodiles. She quickly and easily retrieves both stars and even holds one of the crocodiles, kissing it. “Every man wants a girl that can handle a crock” cracks Lou. John and Lou retrieve both of their stars as well. The three head back to camp to enjoy their final meals.
We’re live, sitting around the campfire with the final three. Damien says that Torrie was the only competitor to survive every single public vote (Lou and John had immunity various weeks), and she calls the experience “surreal”. Was there a point that Torrie wanted to quit? “I would never ever ever want to quit, but I had a few bad days.”
We take a look at what they’ve said about one another. Torrie says about Lou, “Your inner strength is so inspiring, the way you love your family is so sweet to see. I really appreciate getting to know you.” Lou says, “Torrie is so very very unique. Torrie is a fine example to young women. Rarely do you see such strength and determination mixed with such femininity.” John says, “Torrie, I’m your big brother.. I hope you take what I’ve taught you in the kitchen and use it outside the jungle. I love you, little girl.” Both Lou and Torrie compliment John on his power and strength. All seem to be very friendly and genuinely fond of one another.
All the former camp-mates (sans Frangela) are back with the final three, all well-fed and rested in sharp contrast to the remaining three - visit a tanning booth or three, Stephen? The men won the most trials, trouncing the women 10 trials to 3.
Torrie, Lou, and John enjoy their final meals, praying and shouting a resounding “Amen!” before eating. Torrie says, “For our last dinner we each won a wonderful meal and I think it was a great reward for spending 25 days here.” Each had what they were craving after 3 1/2 weeks in the jungle. Torrie got a large veggie pizza, and clearly enjoyed every bite. In a conversation over dinner, Torrie says that she is “in a great position to show not just young girls but women that you can be both strong and feminine.” She thinks she can be a great inspiration to them.
Sanjaya says, “I absolutely believe that everyone who’s in the finale deserves to be there.” “America likes pretty girls” says Daniel. “Torrie is totally awesome. She’s smart, a great chick” says Stephen. “Although Torrie was out to get me from the beginning, she’s a competitor” says Janice. “She has so much drive” says Sanjaya. Stephen and Patti are pulling for Torrie to win it all.
They announce the next celebrity to leave, and it’s John. Now it’s down to Torrie and Lou - TORRIE’S IN THE FINAL TWO!!!!
In a retrospective video package, Torrie says she never believed she’d be doing this. Say says she’s surprised herself. She’s much more fearless than she thought she was. John says, “I knew she was going to be a competitor.” “No one should take Torrie lightly in any competition” says Lou. “People fancy her blonde hair and body but they don’t realize how smart she is” says Patti.
We’re down to the final announcement. The vote was incredibly close. The winner is…. Lou Diamond Phillips! Torrie and Lou hug and the camp celebrates. Torrie looks very happy for him as he sits in his throne, crowned “King of the Jungle”.

Episode Recap:
It’s the final week! Tonight the two celebrities with the lowest votes will compete in ‘Last Chance Saloon’. The winner stays in camp and the loser is eliminated.
The highlights pick up where the show left off on Thursday with the double elimination. Torrie says in the confessional that the consensus among camp is that there’s peace since Janice left. She says the main benefit for her is not having to hear Janice ‘hock loogies’ all the time. John says America kept Torrie and Patti because they’re the only women that can compete with the men.
In camp, Torrie says she’s excited she made it to the last week, she wants to prove a girl can win the competition. Sanjaya is missing Holly & says she really wanted to be here, Torrie says at least there isn’t anyone who doesn’t want to be there. In the confessional, Torrie says she could tell from Stephen’s attitude today he wanted to leave. She says she’s shocked he wants to leave with 5 days to go. Torrie calls him a nutcase.
Stephen has decided to quit the show. The celebs say goodbye. Torrie says it’s weird that they lost 3 people in 24 hours. In the confessional Torrie says she could never quit, no matter how tough it got. Torrie tells John she doesn’t think her friends or family would talk to her if she quit, they’d be so disappointed.
The weather takes a turn for the worse and the celebrities have to go into the confessional. The celebrities decide to make up a story with similar characteristics to Janice. Torrie adds that the character, ‘the chatterbox’ started gathering prunes and biscuits and the other campers’ food.
John reads out a scroll saying since Stephen left an ex-campmate can replace them. They will enter the camp one by one to make their pleas and they get to vote for who to bring back. In the confessional Torrie says she thinks it’s unfair because she’s starving and feels weaker than when the show started, while they’ve been resting and eating. Torrie says Janice’s plea was ‘interesting’. She says they felt they were listening to the real Janice after her emotional plea. Next up is Holly Montag.
In camp the celebrities are discussing who to vote for. Torrie says she has a big place in her heart for Torrie but they have to think who may beat them and Holly could beat them. Torrie says the person she chose really deserves it, they all chose Holly to return to camp.
Coming up next is the trial ‘Head of Horror’.
The celebrities talk about their charities. Torrie asks viewers to donate to Disabled America Veterans. She says she’s proud to be American & proud of everything the troops have done.
Now time for a food trial called ‘Head of Horror’. It’s everyone for themselves, they win a double cheeseburger, onion rings and french fries. The celebrities must put their head into the tank and use their teeth to get two stars out of the tank. Only one person can win the meal. It will be Torrie vs Lou in the first round. Torrie says she was nervous because Lou keeps winning the trials. In Torrie and Lou’s tanks are reptiles and snakes. Lou pushes his stars out before Torrie but it was very close. Torrie loses out on the cheeseburger.
The celebrities are given a scale to see their change in weight. Torrie weighed 132lb and after weighing herself she weighed 139lb meaning she’d gained weight rather losing it. The weight is attributed to muscle mass.
The hosts join the campmates to reveal the result of the public vote, to see who will compete in the Last Chance Saloon. John and Holly will compete, one will leave the jungle which means Torrie is safe for another day!
Tomorrow night there will be a double elimination. Three will go through to the final on Wednesday. Vote for Torrie by calling 1-877-5-KEEP-11 or 1-877-553-37-11 or vote on NBC.com! Please make sure you vote! The phone lines close tonight at 4am.
The celebrities talk about each other and how they’re competition for each other. Torrie says Lou is a threat to her because he’s so fit & physical. Patti says Torrie’s strong, determined and hardworking. Lou says she never gives up. Torrie says the boys think they’re so tough but they’re gonna get beat by a girl.
The hosts are in camp and tell them about the voting situation. The celebrities will say why they deserve to be King or Queen of the Jungle. Torrie says she wants America to vote for her because it’s been an incredible challenge and she’s given 110% and she’s not going down without a fight.
The show continues tomorrow at 8pm. Please make sure you vote because two celebrities will go home!
